Did you know you can hang out and make art at rePlay Arts? Whether you’re looking for a fun after-school activity for kids, a weekend craft for the whole family, or just some creative time for yourself, our space is open to all!

Pick out some materials, find a cozy spot, and start creating. As always, all supplies are pay-what-you-can, and we suggest a $5/person donation for those staying to craft. Need extra tools or ideas? Just ask—we’re happy to help!

⭐️Meet the Founders of rePlay Arts!⭐️

If you’re new here—welcome! rePlay Arts was founded by Jamie Rosenfeld and Melanie Adsit, two passionate arts educators dedicated to creativity, sustainability, and community.

⭐️ Jamie is an arts administrator and educator with experience at the Whitney Museum and the Hood Museum of Art. She oversees programming, volunteers, and marketing at rePlay Arts. At the shop, you’ll often find her buzzing around the space, organizing and sorting materials, putting up labels, and a million other things all at once. She’s also a tap-dancing, needlepoint-loving, pink-and-glitter-obsessed mom of two littles.

⭐️ Melanie has worked in arts education for over 20 years at museums and nonprofits like the Whitney, MoMA, the Guggenheim, and the creative reuse organization Materials for the Arts. She manages the administrative and fiscal side of rePlay and is the queen of coming up with craft projects. At the shop, you’ll often find her sorting paper (#paperlover), and she’s the go-to person for advice on which materials to use for your next project. A mom of a tween, she and her daughter are incredibly imaginative crafters—just ask them about their Halloween costumes!

Together, Jamie and Melanie launched rePlay Arts to keep usable art supplies out of the landfill and into the hands of Upper Valley artists, educators, and makers of all kinds. Since opening, rePlay has diverted over 13,500 pounds of materials, built a thriving pay-what-you-can shop, and hosted countless creative workshops.

We are excited to announce that we are officially open for business! We have moved to a new space at 87 Maple Street, White River Junction, and are now open for shopping and donation drop-off on Wednesdays 11am-5pm and Saturdays 10am-4pm. It’s still a work in progress (so pardon our mess) but please stop by and check out what we have been up to! rePlay Arts is in the back (behind CraftStudies) - signage and accessible entrance to come. Every piece of fabric tells a story. ✨ These stunning quilts were made from materials found in our shop—generously donated by a woman whose mother-in-law, an avid quilter, can no longer sew due to dementia. When the donation arrived, every piece was neatly folded, color-coded, and labeled with care—a testament to a lifetime of creativity and love.

Now, those fabrics have found new hands, a new vision, and a new purpose. This is why we do what we do—giving materials a second life and keeping creativity flowing through our community. 💛

Our Jack o’ Lanterns haven’t rotted yet, so we’re going to keep posting about Halloween! We loved making “spooky spiders” with local Girl Scout Troop #10659. We reused old wine corks and fruit and vegetable twist ties! A beautiful reminder to us all to think twice before throwing out everyday items.
